Alejandro's practice involves complex corporate, structuring, mergers and acquisitions, distressed situations, private equity and venture capital transactions (with emphasis on multi-jurisdictional transactional work), corporate restructurings, cross-border bankruptcy and insolvency, corporate finance, antitrust, and international trade and investment. He has advised clients on complex cross-border regulatory matters, including securities-related, CFIUS & national security, foreign exchange and investment controls. He represents public and private multinationals, private equity, hedge and venture capital funds, GPs and investors, non-profit corporations, and global entrepreneurs in a vast array of transactions and matters (including fund formation, capital deployment and exits, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, and secondaries in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and Asia). He has assisted the first Latin American third-party litigation fund in structuring and capital deployment work across several jurisdictions in Latin America.

Alejandro has over 31 years of experience in assisting clients in cross-border transactional work, with a special emphasis in Latin America, across multiple industries. His practice has been recognized by several legal publications, including Chambers Latin America in Corporate/M&A region-wide and for Argentina, and by Chambers Global in Corporate/M&A and International Trade, The Legal 500 Latin America, and Latinvex, among others. He has also worked on several cross-border, multijurisdictional investment transactions involving Asia, Europe, Middle East, and more recently Africa.

Alejandro has worked on oil & gas and renewable energy transactions, including onshore and off-shore terminal services agreements for crude oil and fuels, joint operating and farm-out agreements, privatizations and concessions, supply agreements and joint ventures in several LATAM countries. Alejandro's LNG practice focuses on joint ventures, engineering, procurement and construction agreements, LNG liquefaction services, regasification services, terminal development, and the purchase and sale of oil, GNL and LNG. In the power sector, his practice has included project development agreements for thermal and renewable generation projects, operation and maintenance of power plants, fuel supply, project financing, and mergers and acquisitions.

Alejandro has also worked on numerous media and entertainment matters, and in retail, manufacturing, and life sciences related transactions, including licensing, purchase and sale of intellectual property rights and software, marketing, strategic alliances, manufacturing and toll-manufacturing agreements.

Prior to joining PAG.Law, Alejandro was a corporate partner at an international law firm where he served as chair of the Latin American Practice for over 10 years; he served as co-coordinator of the Latin American Practice of a 1600+ lawyer international US firm for almost. three years, and for over 10 years, Alejandro was a partner at Marval O’Farrell & Mairal, the largest firm in Argentina, where he co-chaired its Private Equity and Venture Capital and International Trade Practice Groups.

Alejandro has taught Commercial Law, International Business Transactions and Torts at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He was also a professor of Business Organizations, Bankruptcy and Economic Analysis of Corporate Law at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and lectured on International Business Transactions at Southwestern University School of Law. He frequently lectures on FDI and cross-border investment matters.
