At PAG Law, our goal is to constantly improve. With excellence in mind, PAG is pleased to announce that Adriana Daiuto has joined PAG's New York office as Latin American Counsel along with Ramon Abreu de Lima. Also PAG Law named Fernando Burman "Counsel".
Adriana Daiuto comes to PAG with over twenty years of corporate law experience. She was formerly a partner at Demarest Advogados' New York branch. Adriana recently received an LLM in U.S. Law at Fordham University Law School.
"Adriana is a leading Latin Lawyer and her experience both in Brazil and New York is unequaled. Adriana is a perfect complement to PAG's leading Latin American practice," noted Peter Eccles, Managing Partner of PAG's New York office.
Juan Pablo Cappello, a founding partner at PAG, added, "I had the pleasure of working with Adriana 20 years ago at Patagon when we hired Demarest Advogados. I admired Adriana then as I do now. We are blessed to have the opportunity to work with such a leading light in the Latin legal community."
Ramon Abreu de Lima joins PAG from Akerman LLP as a dual licensed New York and Brazilian attorney, with an LLM from the University of Pennsylvania. Earlier in his career, he worked at Demarest Advogados and Trench Rossi Watanabe (in cooperation with Baker McKenzie) in Sao Paulo.
Ramon commented, "PAG Law is known for its unique platform that focuses on doing fewer things better. PAG Law has quickly built one of the leading Brazil focused practices of any US based law firm. My clients are excited to work with a firm as efficient and business focused as PAG Law."
PAG founding partner, Liz Flores, note: "I lived and worked for eight years in Brazil. Absolutely amazing that our firm has been able to build such a strong and capable team of lawyers focused on Brazil. We look forward to collaborating with law firms and clients in Brazil on US legal issues from both our New York and Miami offices."
PAG's focus on its Brazil practice is also highlighted by Fernando Burman being named "Counsel". Fernando brings work experience at leading law firms in Brazil (Miguel Neto Advogados and Machado Meyer) and the US (Simpson Thacher & Bartlett) as well as an LLM from New York University to this new role.
Fernando commented, "For the past two years at PAG Law it has been a pleasure to work with such a diverse group of attorneys. PAG's strength lies in its diversity. We are a team of black, brown and white lawyers from all parts of Latin America and the United States 100% focused on providing the best and most efficient legal services to our clients."
